IT’S D-DAY FOR YOUR SAY ON THE TEDDINGTON SEWAGE PUMP
Today (Tuesday) is deadline day for making your voice heard in the public consultation over Thames Water’s plans to pump treated sewage into the river near Teddington.
The company which is in financial meltdown has chosen NOT to engage with various public forums and meetings locally despite invitations to defend their decisions.
Thousands of protest postcards have been collected and sent to Thames Water’s HQ objecting to the TDRA scheme ( Teddington Direct River Abstraction)
The campaign against the scheme has been run by an organisation called SOLAR (Save Our Lands and River) and been vigorously supported by local MP’s and local businesses, river based activity groups and residents.
