(SORRY, April Fool) TEDDINGTON RNLI TRIAL NEW AMPHIBIOUS RESCUE BOAT

The RNLI at Teddington today unveiled its new fully amphibious rescue vehicle which can reach river emergencies much quicker by ROAD instead of RIVER.
The new vehicle was given a ‘test run’ by volunteer crews through the streets of Teddington, up the High Street past M & S and even entering the car park of the Anglers Pub, shocking passers-by and other drivers.
“Reaching those emergencies has always meant launching from the water until now,” said a spokesperson.
They added: “We are all really excited. This will really change how we operate.”
A short video was posted on Facebook showcasing the new vehicle on its test run and the results will be fed back to RNLI HQ before the vehicle can be used.
