Trudi has been baking and decorating cakes for over 20 years for friends and family as a hobby.

Although initially self taught she has since taken courses in Sugarcraft and piping and is a member of the British Sugarcraft Guild.

After much persuasion from friends Trudi decided to set up cakes by Trudi in November 2010.

Trudi decided the name of her cake business should reflect that she is an individual so that it wasn’t mixed up with chains. She believes people have more confidence when they can speak to the person who is going to take on their project.

After all, they are planning a very special occasion and need to be sure they have left the cake to someone who genuinely cares.
