BETRAYAL by Harold Pinter
Teddington Theatre Club opens its Double Treachery Season at Hampton Hill Theatre with Harold Pinter’s
BETRAYAL
Directed by John Buckingham in the Coward Studio
Pinter’s searing 70s perspective on infidelity
For seven years. Robert’s wife Emma has been having an affair with Jerry, his best friend. But, when it’s over, scene by scene we go back in time to its beginning. Pinter’s semi-autobiographic masterpiece satirizes ‘swinging’ London’s affluent intelligentsia and explores the meaning of betrayal on many levels, not least the way time itself betrays us all.
