Cancer Care Concert
A band concert by local musicians and children for Shooting Star Chase and Macmillan Cancer Care Trust to celebrate the memory of relatives and friends. Music from the films and popular classics, from Star Wars and James Bond to Glenn Miller and Grieg!
All proceeds from this concert will go to Macmillan Cancer Care and The Shooting Star Chase Children’s Hospice to help cancer patients in the late stages of illness. It is given in memory of Mark Vickers, who died at the age of 32 from Abernathy Syndrome (Liver Cancer); Peter Bourne, who died at the age of 33 from Leukaemia; Janet Levick, who died at the age of 37 from Hodgkin Lymphoma and Louise van Steveninck who died at the age of 48 from Lung Cancer. All are closely connected to members of the band.
