Teddnet – a network of recommended local workers

Have you heard about Teddnet? As well as all of the shops, restaurants and businesses you can see, Teddington is full of independent workers and small businesses that you won’t necessarily have seen or heard of – Teddington’s hidden workforce.

A group of 9 of these have banded together and developed a website listing their services. Teddnet launched in January 2009 and only 6 months later has 47 businesses listed on the site.

Teddnet is non-commercial and runs as a club. Members are listed for a small annual membership fee of £10, which pays for web hosting and administration. The aim is purely to use the internet to formalise and extend their existing networks.

Have a look at www.teddnet.org for more information – and if you see someone on it who you think might be able to recommend you, then why not join Teddnet yourself?

Alternatively, if you need a locally recommended physio, or a graphic designer, or a web designer or some IT support or a photographer – you know where to look.
