Scrummy Mummies cooking club

A Teddington mum has launched Scrummy Mummies, a unique new cooking club which is aimed at helping new parents to eat well, meet local friends and enjoy a bit of valuable time off from the demands of parenthood.

Clair found that like so many parents she spoke to, she was frustrated by the lack of time and energy that she had to plan, shop for and then cook healthy meals when her own kids were tiny. So the idea was born – a haven where parents could go during the day to meet like-minded people, have a chat, cuppa and prepare three healthy meals together to bring home and enjoy later.

All the organisation, shopping, recipes and planning are taken care of as part of the service and whilst would-be chefs are busy in the kitchen, their little ones are being cared for in an on-site creche by dedicated childcare professionals. Mums (and dads too!) can meet other local parents and cook together without having to tend to their little ones, producing three healthy meals for two to take home and enjoy over the course of the week.

Sessions predominantly run on Tuesday mornings at Clair’s family home, and comprise a mixture of one-off tasters and 3-week courses currently – see website for more info.
