Teddington to have major train disruptions this Summer
Teddington station will have a disrupted train service between August 5th and August 28th as South West Trains are affected by the extension of London Waterloo.
All trains to London Waterloo will run via Twickenham and Richmond, extending journey times by approximately 15 minutes and will depart from Platform 1.
Services to London will go to Kingston, before turning round and running to London via Twickenham and Richmond adding almost 30 minutes to the journey and seemingly missing out Wimbledon completely.
South West trains have offered the following advice:
- Check the advice for other stations nearby. They might have more frequent or less crowded trains.
- Travel earlier or later than normal. The busiest trains arrive into London between 8 and 9am and leave London between 5.30 and 6.30pm. To help you travel outside of these times we will provide longer trains for extended periods
- Not travelling. If you are able to do so, you might want to consider working from home or planning a summer holiday for some or all of this time
The news comes after the frustrations of the recent train strikes have been disrupting local residents.
